Short version

Sleigh is designed to work almost entirely on your phone. We don’t sell your data, we don’t advertise to you, and the only time your device talks to our servers is when you ask for AI gift ideas or paste a product link that needs to be unfurled into a card.

What Sleigh stores on your phone

• Your wish list items (title, URL, image you added)
• Your Circle members and the gift notes you keep for them
• Your app preferences (theme, countdown style, music settings)

This data lives on your device only. If you delete the app, this data is gone.

What Sleigh sends to our servers

• Product-link previews. When you paste or share a product URL, we send that URL to our server to fetch the title, price, and image so we can show you a cute card. We do not store the URL after returning the preview.
• AI gift ideas. When you use the Curator to generate gift ideas, we send your prompt (e.g. “niece, 11, loves horses”) and your budget/occasion choice to our server, which calls Anthropic’s Claude model. We do not store the prompt or the response.

We don’t attach your name, email, device identifier, or any account info to these requests, because Sleigh does not have accounts.

What Sleigh does not do

• No accounts, no sign-ins, no email collection
• No tracking SDKs, no advertising networks, no analytics on users
• No selling or sharing of data to third parties
• No location tracking
• No contacts, photos, calendars, or microphone access

Affiliate links

When you tap a wish item that links to a retailer like Amazon, Sleigh may append an affiliate tracking tag so we earn a small commission on anything you buy. The retailer sees you as a regular visitor; we don’t see what you bought or when. We only learn totals through the retailer’s own reports.

Kids and families

Sleigh is designed for teens and tweens as well as adults. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because Sleigh does not require accounts and does not use advertising or tracking SDKs, there is nothing we could use to identify a child even if we wanted to. Parents may contact santa@sleighapp.com at any time if they believe a child has provided personal information to us (through, for example, an AI prompt) and we will delete any such content.

Your rights

Because we don’t store personal data, there is typically nothing to request, correct, or delete. If you ever have a question or want to be sure something is deleted, email santa@sleighapp.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, for material changes, flag it in the app.
